Wine, potentially a big bottle of it
Just to move away from the political obsession that is making all the lazy Poles kick themselves and ask 'why, oh why didn't I vote?' I'm going to introduce you to the latest addition in our home. A stonking big bottle of mashed up grapes and bubbles which M hopes will sit around for a while and then, as if by magic, provide him with plentiful potent, but delicious, wine...
Bless him for his eternal innocent optimism.
Buvez, mais buvez comme les polonais.
Indeed.

never knock optimism....u guys need any guinea pigs, here's something u dont get a lot of....a voluntary guinea pig...me! heheeheh.
also, if someone can extract that "Buvez, mais buvez comme les polonais" gene and figure a way to transplant it, what a rich person they would be and what a great day for mankind it would be....
p.s. whose blog is that the link to?
My friends grandpa would have jugs of that stuff in his cellar, sweet, sweet wine! Of course he would add spirytus to it in order to make it ferment faster, naturally this made it into some really potent stuff. We would secretly syphon it into bottles as teenagers and it gets a little hazy after that.
Keji you'll be the first to know when the wine is really for guinea pigs :) oh, and the blog is bialynia's. bialynia meet keji, keji meet bialynia.
I've heard about this spirytus, but not yet seen it... I have a feeling it won't be long though before I do.
is it available in the UK? ha, i feel a quest coming along! the quest for spirytus (what a cool name)...and hi bialynia!
Hey Keji, found it for you, 15.99 a bottle:
http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/vodka/unbranded-spirytus-rektyfikowany-35cl-bottle.asp
It's pretty much pure alcohol, 95% by volume. And yes, people in Poland do really drink it!
95%!!!!!!!!!!! with alchohol like this on their home ground, why would not the rest of the world's drinking abilities pale in comparison to that of the Poles?!! Even I must bow out and say that I don't think I am ready for the spirytus!
